Our owner, Jon, would come to your home and find out what services you’d like us to perform for you. He will give you an exact quote of what the moving and packing services would cost. If you are on the fence about hiring packers for budgetary reasons, you will be able to see the exact cost so you can make an informed decision ahead of time.
If you do choose to have us take care of packing all your items, we typically do that in a single day, just before moving day.
Our packers would bring all the necessary boxes and packing materials to ensure your items are well protected. The cost of these materials is built into the packing quote, so there won’t be any surprise fees for you. All of our pricing is completely transparent and told to you at the time of the quote.
Our company will never blindside you with unexpected fees. Nobody likes that, and we won’t do that to you.

Fun fact: when a box is packed properly, there should be absolutely zero “wiggling” of items within the box. You should be able to aggressively shake the box side to side as well as up and down and not feel any movement.
I have seen boxes accidentally dropped from 5 feet in the air and nothing inside was damaged because they were packed so well, with lots of protection within the box. This isn’t something I would recommend doing, but it is nice to know that even in the worst case scenario, your items will be safe if our packers have done the job for you.
2. Boxes will be uniform sized and well labelled.
Because packing is such a time consuming activity, a common challenge that we run into is people who underestimated how long it would take to do it. This can lead to a rushed job and not everything gets packed that should be (such as lamps and lamp shades). Or, there isn’t time to properly protect dishware and kitchen items. This can result in items being damaged or broken.
Lastly, the boxes aren’t labelled correctly on the sides and tops, which leads to more wasted time for you when you are going to unpack boxes, trying to see where the labels to the boxes are.

3. We offer unpacking services as well!
If you’d really like a full-service option, we can unpack your boxes and put into the appropriate places in your new home. Simply tell us where you’d like things to go and it will be done.
At the end of the unpacking process, we will remove all boxes and packing materials, so you don’t have to deal with a mountain of cardboard!
How Our Packing Process Works
- We make a plan with you. We would discuss if there are certain things you want to have unpacked (such as legal documents related to home sales, ID’s, or car and house keys). You’d be amazed how many times these things are not clearly marked and end up in boxes. If you hired us to only pack a portion of your house, we clarify that and ensure our packers are only doing the work you wanted them to.
- Our experienced packers get to work protecting your items and putting them into boxes. The boxes are labelled so easy identification later and a more efficient unloading process for your move.
- The boxes are then put in an area you designate so that they are as non-invasive as possible until moving day. This will keep you from feeling like you are buried with boxes! You won’t have to deal with these boxes for long, because it’s typical that the moving day will be the very next day, however whatever schedule you prefer is how we would accommodate your moving and packing services.

What do Packing Services Cost?
Great question, and the answer is – it depends. I know, super clear and exactly what you were hoping for. But, if you were hoping the answer would be “super cheap”, then I will disappoint you.
We are definitely not the cheapest packing services around, and we are not trying to be. But we will deliver the agreed upon services at the agreed upon timeline, for the agreed upon price.
The reality is that not every packing job is the same and so it’s impossible to give a set answer. However, like all of our moving or storage, or packing services, our pricing is a guaranteed quote that you will find out ahead of time.
At the time of your quote, Jon will come to your home and tell you the exact price of what the packing will cost.
If you’d like to look at various packing options, he can do that for you at this time as well.
For example, if you want to see what the price would be to pack your entire house, as well as the cost for just the kitchen and garage to be packed, he will create 2 separate quotes for you that clearly indicate what the price of each option will be.
Because he does the quotes in person, this is a very quick and easy way for you to find out the different pricing options in real time. To price out various things, it’s typically only 2-4 minutes to calculate, so feel free to ask him these questions if you are curious.

Bear in mind that all packing quotes include the necessary boxes and packing materials, so that needs to be factored into the price. If the packing quote is $1200, that is not just a labor price, but also factors in the physical materials needed.
Most time consuming rooms to pack
Kitchen – by far the most labor intensive and delicate room in the house. This will generally take over half of the total packing time, and use the majority of the packing materials.
Garage – people often forget about how long a garage will take to pack into boxes, but it really does add up. For your moving day, you don’t want the movers to have to carry a lot of trips with awkward shaped items that aren’t in a box. This will slow down the whole moving process and increase the risk of accidents and damage caused from a long moving day.
A good rule of thumb is this : really long moving days = higher change of damages
