Every service we provide begins with a in-person quote where Jon will have a conversation with you and assess your specific needs. He will be able to give you a game plan of what your move will look like and give you the exact starting time and price of your job.
We offer 2 guarantees to our clients that are VERY RARE in the moving industry.
We promise a 1 hour arrival window. When you hire our movers, you will arrange an arrival time and if your movers are later than that time window, you will receive a $200 discount from your move.
We believe in valuing your time and know you don’t want to wait around for your local movers for hours and hours.
I’m happy to report that we have never had a client who has had to utilize the discount.
When you are told a price by our company for your moving, packing or storage services, that is the actual price you will pay. Even if there are unexpected issues that arise in your move, your price will be the one you were quoted. I repeat, this is NOT an estimate that can change on your moving day.
One winter, there was the atmospheric river that swept away parts of the Coquihalla highway. We had a booked move to Kamloops. Due to the highway closure we had to take an much longer route to Kamloops via Princeton, which added around 2 hours to the drive there. That was ok.
However, the drive back from Kamloops took much longer. Due to avalanche concerns near Princeton, there was blasting happening for hours as the moving truck was waiting for it to be cleared. At the same time it was snowing very heavily, so the roads were very slippery. Eventually, they got moving again, but when they reached Princeton all semi trucks were required to put on their chains.
It took the trucks about 20 mins each to put on their chains and it had to happen at a certain spot. So, that meant our moving truck travelled the distance of 1 semi truck and trailer every 20 minutes.
It took nearly 7 hrs to drive through Princeton. When the truck finally got back to our yard, it was a 17 hour drive to get from Kamloops to Abbotsford. Yet despite the huge amount of unexpected time, our clients paid the exact amount they had been quoted, which they were extremely grateful for.
Most companies wouldn’t be able to keep this guarantee because they do multiple jobs in the same day with the same crew.
We have a policy where our crews only do 1 job per day. This means that your job is always the first job of the day. We know we can be on time because we don’t have anything else to do before your move. All we have to do is drive from our local moving yard to your home and we are all ready to service your move.
Because we are movers near you, the time of driving to you isn’t long and we can assure you we will be on time. As an added bonus, your movers will always be fresh because they haven’t already been working for many hours before arriving at your home. And fresh is good – tired is bad. This charitable organization helps with very tangible needs of people who recently came to Canada as they fled their home countries due to various types of persecution. This charity helps find housing and work and sets up with supports as they transition to this new country.
After providing temporary housing for a time, the clients need to move out on their own.
This is where Fraser Valley Movers gets involved. When asked, we provide the manpower for these moves, and are really grateful for the small role we play in lending a literal helping hand.

This is our bread and butter and the thing we do the most of. With our trucks and crews we can handle any sized home and get it done efficiently.
As your local movers we do a lot of townhouses as well. They typically require more precision than a household move because the stairwells are typically fairly narrow and have turns in them. These moves are where our experience really shines because it is incredibly easy to ding, scrape or damage walls when carrying large furniture down these narrow stairwells. The moves from townhouse typically involve a lot of stairs, so we make sure we have a proper crew of movers do your moving day doesn’t take forever. By the end of the day, our legs are burning as we have gone up and down the stairwells literally hundreds of times. Sound fun?
