Langley Moving Services we offer
What is a local move? Basically, it’s a move within about an hour of where you currently live. Most of the time when someone lives in Langley, they move to another home in Langley, or to nearby places like Abbotsford or Langley.
These moves are almost always accomplished in a single day. However, if you add packing services, or have a BIG house or lots of items that will require multiple trucks, it may make sense for your moving services to be done over multiple days.
Local moves can include:
Depending on the size of your local Langley move, it may be a few hours to a few days. The great news for you is you will know exactly what to expect of the whole process because of the in-person quote that happens before your moving day. At that quote you will be told exactly what to expect and what the exact price will be.
That’s right, this is not a typo. When you receive a quote from Fraser Valley Movers, it is an actual quote, and not an estimated price. That means that no matter what happens on your moving day, your price will be exactly what you were told ahead of time.
This quote is emailed to you in writing at the end of the in-person walk-through of your home, and if you have any questions about it, we can discuss them right away.
You don’t need to wait for hours or days to hopefully get an emailed estimate, which is something that happens a lot with moving companies. We want you to know all the info of your move ahead of time, and not be blindsided by price at the end of it.
Because of the in-person quoting process. Actually seeing all the items to move allows for us to create an accurate price. If you just took some info over the phone, it’s impossible to have it be precise (trust me, I tried and it was a disaster)!
Our clients can expect our movers to show up within a pre-planned 1 hour arrival window.
Typically, our starting time is between 8-9am, and our clients love knowing their movers will be at their home on time.
In fact, we feel so confident in this guarantee, that we will reduce your moving bill by $200 if our crew is later than that arrival window.
The crew for your move is fresh. They aren’t already tired from doing another job. That means they have more energy, are more alert and aware of their surroundings, and can perform your move at a higher level.
That is one of the main reasons we made the change to just 1 job per day. In the past we would consistently have our moving crews working past midnight. It would happen at least 1-2 times/month, and it was terrible.
If you are looking to move away from Langley to a destination within BC but out of the Fraser Valley, we’ve got you covered!
Usually these moves are a 2 day process, although it can be 3 days if it’s a really far destination or if several trucks are involved.
This long distance moving process is far different than many companies. Typically, they will not give a firm price, and will only tell you the bill once your items have been loaded on their truck and weighed. They may offer a delivery window that is 4-10 days from when your items were loaded.

Want packing for your Langley move? Awesome! We can help with that. All you have to do is tell us at the quote what you’d like done and we will take care of it for you.
Whether it’s packing your entire home, or just specified areas like the kitchen and garage, we know packing is a big pain and we’d love to take this burden from you.
All our local packing services include the required boxes and materials, which will save you a pile of time to local and pick those up.
Less time than you are going to spend a Ribfest this year!
90% of the time our crew will complete all your packing in 1 day. If there is a huge amount of items to pack, or a lot of really delicate pieces, it may take multiple days.
Fun fact – One time we packed a client who filled 60 boxes with just China dishes! Their kitchen is pictured here.
For perspective, most kitchen end up being 50 boxes or less.
Whether you need short or long term storage, we are happy to provide you with secure, safe storage that is nearby.
You only need to arrange 1 company to get your moving and storage needs sorted out.
Just like all of our other services, your storage rates will be made clear at the time of your quote. You will be told (and emailed) the exact monthly storage rate.
Each move is different and each needs to be carefully planned out so the moving process is as smooth as possible.
This process doesn’t magically work itself out, it requires an experienced problem solver to brainstorm the best approach to meet your needs in a timely and non-stressful way.
That is what I love to do! This is Jon (Hello!), the owner of Fraser Valley Movers, and I LOVE solving problems and seeing a complex situation taken care of in an elegant way.
For your in-person quote it would be me that comes and meets with you.
While every move is unique, I have been a part of orchestrating over 2,000 moves, so there are definitely some techniques and strategies I’ve learned to make the process go well.
I want you to feel completely at ease with our company and am happy to be a resource for you every step of the way.
If you have questions, check out our FAQ page . If that doesn’t answer it, give me a call or text at 778-549-4521 or email fvmovers@gmail.com.
I’m completely serious, let me be a resource for you for any moving, storage or packing question. If I don’t know the answer, I’ll do my best to find it.
I have owned and operated moving companies since 2013 It’s always been full time and it’s the only work I’ve done for over 12 years.
In those years, I’ve learned a LOT and seen most situations a person can within the moving industry.
However, there is always something new that comes up, and those really excite me. I’m happy to work with you to solve the problems you need to, such as tight deadlines or tricky access or narrow stairwells (think of new Langley townhouses). I have enough experience to know what I’m doing but not too much to be jaded.
I’m excited for Fraser Valley Movers to be able to help you, and I don’t take that privilege or responsibility lightly.
When hiring a local Langley mover, you are putting a lot of faith in that company and it’s very vulnerable. My team and I will keep earning your trust all through your move, and would love for you to refer your friends and family to us after having our great movers take care of you!
Even with the best of intentions and safeguards in place, accidents can still happen. This is the real test for a business.
How do you resolve damages that happened on the move?
I wish I could tell you it never happens, but that is just not reality. Despite the protection we use for flooring and furniture and the blankets we protect your items with, things can still get damaged.
← Here’s a video that shows exactly what happened when accidental damage happened on a move.
So, if you want a company that stands behind their work, and you know will show up on time and do the move on budget, reach out today and I’d love to meet you for your in person quote.
Testimonials
I am an agent from the Okanagan market and met Jon from Fraser Valley Movers via a mutual client. My client spoke so highly about Jon I needed others to know about him and the company. If you’re looking for a moving company that combines professionalism, reliability, and genuine care - call Jon. My client shared with me, they were hands down the best company they have ever used to move. They arrived right on schedule, showed strong care for the items they were packing. they exceeded every expectation. The team worked diligently ensuring not a single item was damaged. If you’re moving across Canada or within the province, consider using them. This is the kind of service you hope for but rarely find. Will use and recommend them again.
